BASE SERVICES
In roading, base services refer to the foundational layers beneath the road surface that provide structural support and stability for the pavement. These layers, typically made from compacted gravel, crushed stone, or other aggregates, distribute the load from traffic evenly and prevent surface cracking or shifting.

Base Construction
Base construction typically involves excavation, surveying, and sometimes design work. For most commercial projects, the base is already completed before we begin, but for smaller or general surfacing projects, we handle the base construction ourselves. When needed, we consult expert advisors for more complex projects to ensure the best outcome. A properly constructed base is essential to prolonging the lifespan of the road by ensuring it can handle the weight of vehicles and withstand environmental stresses like moisture and temperature changes.

Paver Laid Base
An alternative to traditional base construction is using an asphalt paver to lay the base, which is especially beneficial for straightforward projects. This method improves efficiency, reduces costs, and ensures a quicker, more uniform installation compared to conventional techniques. It also provides better compaction and a smoother, more stable foundation, enabling faster progression to the asphalt or chip seal surfacing. Additionally, using a paver minimizes manual labor and reduces the risk of inconsistencies in the base layer.
